Leslie has worked in university communications and marketing for more than twenty years. She earned her Bachelor of Science at the University of Oklahoma and her Master of Science at the University of Idaho, both in human development. She has worked at Colorado State since 1997 and is currently focused on developing communications strategies in all areas of enrollment and access.

Outside of work she enjoys playing competitive volleyball, hiking and biking, stand up paddle boarding and watching her daughter’s sports teams.

Tom received his bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Carroll College, a master’s degree in computer information systems from Colorado State and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in higher education leadership here at CSU. He began his 30+ year career in public education in 1986 as a math and computer science teacher in junior high and high school in Rock Springs, Wyoming and went on to become the Director of Information Technology for the school district. Tom’s career path in IT led him to CSU in 2000 when he took a position as Associate Director for Systems within the Office of Financial Aid. In 2012, he became Director of the Office of Financial Aid overseeing a group of amazing people that manage over $300 million in financial aid annually for the University. Tom lives in Fort Collins with his wife, Suzanne, and has three kids. Nick is a wildland firefighter in Fairbanks, Alaska, Luke is a motion graphic designer in Denver, and Jenna is a student here at CSU.

Originally from Michigan, Herman attended Elmhurst College outside of Chicago where he earned degrees in Psychology & Intercultural Studies. After graduating, he spent a year with AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps (NCCC) doing service work nationally. Upon completion, he attended the University of Massachusetts/Amherst, where he earned his Master’s in Social Justice Education.

Professionally, Herman was one of the founding administrators of Holyoke Community Charter School, a K-8 tuition free, public charter school in Holyoke, Massachusetts where he served as Assistant Principal for 2 years. He returned to Chicago in 2007, and has spent the last 9 years directing pre-college access programs at Roosevelt University.

Heather Daniels

Heather came to the Office of Admissions at Colorado State University in 2013.  Her career began as an admissions counselor at her alma mater, Edgewood College in Madison, WI.  After a couple of years, she moved on to Willamette University in Salem, OR and spent 11 years in multiple roles throughout admissions.  Her time at CSU has been in the Office of Admissions overseeing application processing, recruitment and international admissions.  Now as the Director of Admissions, Heather oversees the 50+ staff that recruit, admit and enroll all students to Colorado State University.  In addition to supporting her amazing team, she works collaboratively with campus partners and University leadership to meet the enrollment goals.

So although a Midwestern at heart, Heather loves living in Colorado with her husband and two sons.  They like to hike, bike, road trip or any other adventure that comes their way.  They are Proud To Be CSU Ram Fans!

Joe Donlay

Joe Donlay has served as Director of Financial Aid since August 2019. Reporting to the Division of Enrollment and Access, Joe leads a team of 45 student aid professionals who manage a portfolio of services that constitute a functional arrangement unique to Colorado State University. In addition to comprehensive financial aid counseling and program administration of $350 million dollars in federal, state, institutional, and private financial aid funds, the Office of Financial Aid (OFA) also provides customer service for all aspects of student billing, tuition classification, and student employment operations.

Joe has over 15 years of experience in the field of student aid administration, most recently as Senior Associate Director in OFA. From Kansas originally, Joe has previously served as Assistant Director of Financial Aid at Wichita State University and began his career working as a Financial Aid Counselor for Southwestern College in Winfield, KS. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Fort Hays State University and an MBA from Southwestern College. Joe is active within state, regional, and national organizations that advocate for financial aid policy and for the student aid profession, including having served as the 2015-16 President of the Rocky Mountain Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (RMASFAA) and as a Director on the governing board for the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA).

Chris Seng

Chris Seng has worked in higher education enrollment services positions the past 25 years supporting students in their educational goals.

After graduating from Nebraska Wesleyan University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Chris and his wife, Stephanie, served as United States Peace Corps volunteers in Guinea, West Africa.  Upon return from Africa, Chris worked in Financial aid at Concordia College in Seward, Nebraska after which he and Steph made their way to Colorado. They have called Fort Collins home since before Y2K.  The current passions in Chris’ life outside of work include hiking 14ers in the Colorado Rocky Mountains, training for a 100K ultra run, and enjoying the ever changing restaurant scene in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Marilyn came to Colorado State from the University of South Florida in 2010. While at USF Marilyn received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications and worked in the Office of Development and Alumni Relations for USF Health. Between 2010 and 2015, Marilyn worked in the College of Liberal Arts and earned her master’s degree in Philanthropic Leadership from the University of Denver.

Having joined Enrollment, Academic, and Student Affairs in December 2015, Marilyn’s role is to fundraise for university wide scholarships, initiatives that support students enrolled at Colorado State, and programs that provide access to education for all students in the state of Colorado. Marilyn enjoys fostering connections between students, alumni, and community members, illustrating the power that education has to transform lives and communities.

Paula serves as the Assistant to the Vice President for Enrollment and Access and is the budget officer for the Division of Enrollment and Access.  She provides management and oversight of operating budgets, purchasing, and special projects for the Central Office and the Division. Paula has been with the Office of the Vice President for Enrollment and Access since 2006.
