Parking Update

As you may have heard there are many changes coming to campus in regards to parking.  In case you weren’t able to make one of the sessions hosted by Lynn Johnson, VP of University Operations (and even if you were) here are some key highlight and takeaways:
Costs Declining:

New low cost section of Moby: $400, faculty and staff
$8 daily permits in Moby Lot
$6 daily permits in Research Lot
$1.25 short-term Moby Lot

Costs Increasing:
State Classified Employee Subsidy ($123) Going Away
Annual Permits
Reserved Permit Parking

Costs Unchanged:
$250 Research Blvd. lot permit
$12 daily permits
$1.75 short-term pay stations

50% subsidy for employees earning less than $35K
New Options:

Days of the week Permits! MWF and TR Permits will be available for those with flex schedules

Also: all government vehicles will now be required to purchase permits as they are taking up parking space on campus!  There will be more Around The Horn busses with extended hours to accommodate those parking in the research lot.
